Eligibility:

Women at the start of their career making a significant contribution to their team and organisation
Less then 3 years' experience
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to the Queensland technology industry

$500 Credit toward attending WiT events/programs (valid 12 months)
One year individual WiT membership

Rising Star – Technology

Eligibility:

Women making a significant contribution to the growth and development of their teams and organisation, serving as role models
3–10 years’ experience
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to the Queensland technology industry

Prizes:

$500 Credit toward attending WiT events/programs (valid 12 months)
One year individual WiT membership

Leadership Professional - Technology

Eligibility:

Women making a significant contribution to the growth and development of their teams and organisation, serving as role models
10-20 years’ experience
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to the Queensland technology industry

Prizes:

Complimentary ticket to WiT Board Readiness Program valued at over $1300
One year individual WiT membership

Outstanding Achievement - Technology

Eligibility:

Women making an outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Queensland's technology industry, who serve as role models
20 years or more experience
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to the Queensland technology industry

Named WiT Technology Ambassador
$500 credit towards WiT events/programs (valid for 12 months)

Science Awards

Young Achiever - Science

Eligibility

Women in Science who are pre-award (final year or awaiting award of PhD)
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to science in Queensland

Rising Star - Science

Eligibility:

Women in Science with less than 7 years’ postdoctoral experience
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to science in Queensland

$500 credit towards WiT events/programs (valid for 12 months)
One year individual WiT membership

Research Leader - Science

Eligibility:

Research leader making a recognised contribution in science research and development (either through their own organisation, or other activities)
7-15 years’ postdoctoral experience
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to science in Queensland

Prizes:

Trophy
Complimentary access to WiT Board Readiness Program valued at over $1300
One year individual WiT membership

Outstanding Achievement - Science

Eligibility:

Women making an outstanding contribution to the growth and development of science and serves as role models for others
More than 15 years’ experience
Applicant does not need to reside in Queensland, but must demonstrate a significant contribution to science in Queensland

Sue Wickenden Innovation Awards

Innovation in Science

Eligibility:

Women demonstrating leadership and innovation in the use of science for the benefit of Queensland’s economy and community
Applicant must reside in Queensland

Innovation in Technology

Eligibility:

Women demonstrating leadership and innovation in the use of technology for the benefit of Queensland’s economy and community

Employer of Choice Awards

Corporate

Eligibility:

Organisations with more than 200 employees (male & female)
Organisations demonstrating outstanding commitment to providing a working environment that embraces equal opportunity, diversity, flexibility in work practices and programs that enable women and men to participate equally in the workforce
The organisation may have its head office outside of Queensland but must be able to demonstrate a significant contribution to employment in Queensland’s science and technology industries

Small to Medium Business

Eligibility:

Small and medium enterprises with less than 200 employees (male & female)
Organisations demonstrating outstanding commitment to providing a working environment that embraces equal opportunity, diversity, flexibility in work practices, and programs that enable women and men to participate equally in the workforce
The organisation may have its head office outside of Queensland but must be able to demonstrate a significant contribution to employment in Queensland’s science and technology industries

Regional Award

Rural, Regional & Remote Award

Eligibility:

Women living, working or volunteering in rural, regional & remote Queensland (beyond the Greater Brisbane Area)
Using science and technology to benefit their organisation, community or industry
Applicant must reside in Queensland

Community Award

Community

Eligibility:

Women working or volunteering in the community/not-for-profit sector
Using science or technology to benefit a community - either directly or by enhancing the operations of a recognised community service group, benevolent organisation, foundation, charity or the like
Application must reside in Queensland
The organisation may have its head office outside of Queensland but must be able to demonstrate a significant contribution to Queensland communities through the application of science and technology

Prizes:
